What we offer
Half a day on site. We go through what you've got, how it's configured, and what it actually needs to do. You get a written spec, an honest assessment of what's working and what isn't, and a supplier comparison that isn't written by someone who gets a referral fee.
Useful before a capital spend, before a tender, or when you've inherited a system that nobody can explain.
From concept through to tender document and supplier selection. Auditoriums, houses of worship, live sound venues, studios and corporate conference spaces. We model the room, design the system, and produce a specification document you can take to any qualified installer — or we can manage the installation ourselves.
Priced per project for smaller builds. Percentage of hardware value for larger installs — declared upfront, not discovered in the final invoice.
You plan it, build it and run it. Day rate. This is the full engagement — from site survey through to the first live event. We manage contractors, coordinate with venues, handle tech riders, and make sure the system works on the night — not just in the spec document.
For touring acts, one-off events, product launches, or venues who need an experienced TD on call for a season.
Independence is the product.
We don't take undisclosed commissions from suppliers. We charge a fee, we disclose any supplier relationship in writing, and you're welcome to get your own quotes to compare.
This matters more than it sounds. A consultant who earns a referral from the company they're recommending is not giving you independent advice — they're giving you a sales pitch with better vocabulary. We're not interested in that arrangement.

When a venue replaces its system, the outgoing gear doesn't vanish. Most of it ends up in a storage room, sold for a fraction of its value to the first person who sees it on OLX, or simply written off.
We put a line in every proposal: decommissioning and disposal of the outgoing system can be handled by LiveGear on consignment. A venue upgrade is the single richest source of quality used gear in the country. We've handled installs where the consignment proceeds covered a meaningful part of the new system cost.
It's optional. But it's worth knowing it's there.
